PCSO Chris Purvey in line for top Police honour

Back in November last year, KECSAG nominated our neighbourhood PCSO, Chris Purvey, for the position of PCSO of the Year, and we have recently heard that Chris has been announced as the winner of this award within the Bath and North East Somerset District. Congratulations Chris!

Chris will now compete with winners from other Districts for the overall award of PCSO of the Year, across the whole of the Avon and Somerset Force. Read more

Plans for new road markings on Chandag Road

In consultation with B&NES and the Police, there has been a second draft proposal for the re-painting and re-allocation of parking on Chandag Road between Derwent Grove and Lambourn Road – incorporating the shop area. Read more

Chandag traffic & parking is the focus of a meeting of minds

On Wednesday the 26th November 2008 a meeting was held where representatives of the community, local and district councilors, shop keepers, schools, police, transport companies and the local traffic authorities met under the tasking of the Keynsham East PACT process to examine the issues regarding traffic and parking in the area of the schools and shops at Chandag Road Keynsham. Roy Gallop, group Chair, has sent correspondence to the Government office for the South West reflecting both the views of the group and highlighting the concerns shown at the recent PACT meeting of residents. A board of photos and suggestions highlighting the issues surrounding the traffic and parking “hotspots” in Chandag Road went on display on Saturday 6th September in the Community Building. Chandag Road traffic gets PACT attention

Following the recent PACT meeting in July, the top priority to go forward for action was the traffic and access issues on Chandag Road and this has prompted a meeting between the police and several residents to actually walkthrough the area concerned and make a detailed report on the key issues on Chandag Road.
