Have McColls really agreed to obey ATM planning conditions at last?
Thanks largely to the hard work of KECSAG Vice Chair Duncan Mitchell and Cllr Gill Hellier, McColls have agreed that the ATM in the shop’s window will only be available during shop opening hours - well, it only took 12 months!!
3,000 new homes to be built in Keynsham?
At a meeting of the Chew Valley Area Partnership held on Monday 11th August in the Keynsham Town Hall, the main topic of discussion was the announcement from the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government outlining her recommendations for housing targets for the Keynsham area.
Chandag Road traffic gets PACT attention
Following the recent PACT meeting in July, the top priority to go forward for action was the traffic and access issues on Chandag Road and this has prompted a meeting between the police and several residents to actually walkthrough the area concerned and make a detailed report on the key issues on Chandag Road.

A new campaign is being launched by the Keynsham Town Council to bring awareness of the town and all the businesses and groups that support the area.

B&NES is instructed to build MORE homes
The Government has instructed B&NES to build more houses and create more jobs in the area. The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has announced the responsibilities for Bath and North east Somerset in relation to the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS). In almost all areas of the plan, there are substantial increases.
Pizza, Pop & Police!
The Keynsham East Neighbourhood Police Team held a successful Pizza and Cola evening at Wellsway school on Friday 18 July. The event, aimed at 11-15 year olds was hosted by PCSO Chris Purvey and PS Alison Norman and was an excellent chance for the young people to have informal discussions with the Police Beat Team.
